She found deep fulfillment in helping young clinicians cultivate the same compassion, patience, and attention to detail that define her own practice philosophy.
During her pediatric residency, Dr. Trishia spent extensive time at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), where she cared for medically complex and special-needs children. These experiences profoundly shaped her approach to pediatric dentistry, teaching her that successful care begins with empathy, communication, and an unwavering commitment to treating each child as an individual. She learned that dentistry, at its best, is not only about restoring teeth—it’s about nurturing confidence, health, and trust that lasts a lifetime.
Dr. Trishia is known for her conservative and minimally invasive philosophy, focusing on prevention, early intervention, and collaboration. She believes that the best dentistry is gentle, intentional, and rooted in understanding a child’s overall development—not just their dental chart. By prioritizing preventive care and patient education, she helps families create healthy habits that extend far beyond the dental chair. Parents often comment on her ability to explain treatment options in a calm, reassuring way that makes even complex topics feel approachable and clear.
Her advanced training in airway-focused pediatric care and tongue-tie (frenectomy) management has made her a trusted resource for families seeking answers to challenges related to feeding, speech, and sleep. She takes a whole-child approach to oral health, recognizing that the mouth serves as a gateway to breathing, nutrition, and overall wellness. By addressing airway development and oral function early in life, Dr. Trishia helps set the stage for lifelong healthy growth. She works closely with a multidisciplinary team—including lactation consultants, myofunctional therapists, speech-language pathologists, and pediatricians—to ensure her patients receive thoughtful, coordinated care tailored to their unique needs.
Dr. Trishia’s dedication to excellence extends beyond her clinical work. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and maintains certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). She loves turning first visits into fun adventures, transforming nervous children into confident dental pros who look forward to coming back. Every patient encounter is a chance for her to build trust, celebrate small victories, and plant the seeds for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
In her free time, you’ll find Dr. Trish exploring new restaurants with her husband (who is also a dentist), running, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with her two sons. She embraces balance and mindfulness in her personal life—the same qualities she brings into her practice every day. Whether she’s teaching a young patient how to brush like a superhero, guiding a new parent through tongue-tie recovery, or chasing Maverick through the park, her joyful energy, patience, and compassion shine through in everything she does.

Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Maddie DiPaolo is a compassionate pediatric dentist who combines exceptional clinical training, a strong academic background, and a genuinely warm approach to caring for children. She believes great pediatric dentistry is about more than treating teeth—it’s about building trust, meeting children where they are, and helping families feel comfortable and confident in their care.
A Strong Academic Foundation
Dr. Maddie’s path to pediatric dentistry began at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, where she distinguished herself academically and graduated second in her dental school class.
Her passion for working with children led her to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University.
During residency, Dr. Maddie trained alongside Dr. Andrew Vo, caring for children across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, medical histories, and dental needs. Her training provided extensive experience in preventive and restorative dentistry, dental emergencies and trauma, behavior guidance, sedation, and caring for children who may require additional support during dental treatment.
Her leadership and dedication to pediatric dentistry also led her to serve as a Chief Resident during her second year of residency.
Advanced Education & Dental Trauma Research
In addition to completing her pediatric dentistry specialty training, Dr. Maddie earned a Master of Science in Dentistry from The Ohio State University.
Her graduate research focused on dental trauma in children, giving her a deeper understanding of the immediate and long-term considerations that can follow traumatic injuries to developing teeth.
That background continues to influence her thoughtful approach when evaluating dental injuries involving both primary and permanent teeth.
Dr. Maddie values research, continuing education, and evidence-based dentistry as important parts of providing exceptional pediatric care.
Advanced Training in Laser Dentistry
Dr. Maddie has also pursued advanced training in laser dentistry, allowing her to incorporate modern technology into pediatric dental care when appropriate.
Laser dentistry can offer a precise and minimally invasive approach for select procedures. Dr. Maddie thoughtfully evaluates each child individually and believes technology should be used when it can meaningfully improve the treatment experience or clinical outcome.
Caring for the Whole Child
Dr. Maddie approaches every family with clinical expertise, patience, and an open heart.
She understands that every child experiences the dentist differently. Some children are ready to jump right into the chair, while others may need additional time, reassurance, or a different approach before they feel comfortable.
Her goal is never simply to “get through” an appointment. Instead, she focuses on establishing trust and creating positive experiences that can shape the way a child feels about dental care for years to come.
Her approach emphasizes:
Individualized Behavior Guidance: Adapting each visit to a child’s age, personality, comfort level, and individual needs.
Preventive & Minimally Invasive Care: Helping families understand how prevention, early intervention, and thoughtful treatment planning can protect developing smiles.
Dental Trauma: Drawing on her graduate research and specialty training when evaluating injuries involving primary or permanent teeth.
Family-Centered Care: Making sure parents understand their child’s oral health, treatment options, and the reasoning behind recommendations.
Positive Dental Experiences: Helping children gradually develop confidence and a healthy relationship with dental care.
Teaching & Lifelong Learning
Teaching and lifelong learning are important parts of who Dr. Maddie is as a pediatric dentist.
She enjoys sharing her knowledge with families and believes parents should leave their child’s appointment understanding not only what is happening with their child’s oral health, but why.
She remains committed to continuing education and staying current with evolving techniques, research, and technology so she can continue providing thoughtful, evidence-based care.
Reunited at Tiny Tooth Co.
There’s also a special connection behind Dr. Maddie joining Tiny Tooth Co.
Dr. Maddie and Dr. Andrew completed their pediatric dentistry training together at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University, where they both served in resident leadership roles. Years later, they have the opportunity to practice together again—this time caring for families here in Orange County.
Their shared training and philosophy of pediatric dentistry make Dr. Maddie a natural fit for Tiny Tooth Co.’s approach: exceptional dentistry delivered in a welcoming, thoughtful, and kid-centered environment.
Outside of the Office
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Maddie is a big music lover with an especially soft spot for rock & roll. Whether she’s discovering a new artist, catching live music, or enjoying a great playlist, music is one of her favorite ways to have fun and recharge.
She brings that same energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm into the office, making it easy for children and parents alike to feel comfortable around her.
A Welcoming Approach to Pediatric Dentistry
For Dr. Maddie, pediatric dentistry is ultimately about relationships.
She wants children to grow up feeling comfortable asking questions, understanding their oral health, and knowing that visiting the dentist can be a positive experience.
At Tiny Tooth Co., Dr. Maddie DiPaolo brings together outstanding academic achievement, specialized pediatric training, dental trauma research, advanced laser education, and compassionate care to help children feel supported while building healthy smiles for the future.
